Starting and ending in the circled cell, the perimeter of the grid contained the quotation from The Tempest, “O brave new world, That has such people in’t”, followed by MIRANDA, who said it innocently to her father, and PROSPERO, who replied “’Tis new to thee”. It was the source of the ironic title for ALDOUS HUXLEY’s dystopian novel Brave New World. The entries clued by wordplay only were other characters from the play (Neapolitans, Caliban, Alonso, Ariel) and the book (Lenina, Henry, Linda).
