The puzzle’s theme was Jesus’ miracle of changing water into wine, described in John, chapter 2. The correct letters for the misprints spelt out “make three transformations; highlight a location”. Three of the four thematic entries were brands of mineral water, changed to wines in the grid: SAN PELLEGRINO → MONTEPULCIANO, VOLVIC → BARSAC and PERRIER → POMEROL (MARSAC and CÔTE D’OR were also accepted). The fourth thematic entry was WEDDING AT CANA, the site of the miracle, in which CANA was highlighted. The puzzle’s title referred to “must” = new wine.
