Misprint corrections spelt “Camellia sinensis, Theaceae”, the Latin name and family for the tea plant. Grid clashes in the grid involved only the letters T, E and A. The three clusters of clashes were resolved into Ts, Es and As respectively, producing large letter shapes that spelt TEA diagonally.
Sir Thomas Lipton (born in Glasgow on 10 May 1850) bypassed traditional dealers when he imported tea for his grocery shops and established the Lipton tea brand.
